Revived in 1991 by the viola da gamba-player Simone Eckert the ensemble today focuses onplaying the important German and European festivals the USA and China. More than 30CDs , featuring mostly world first recordings, performances for the most important Europeanclassic radio stations document its musical rediscoveries. The international press praises itssubtlety and its profound knowledge of baroque style. Hamburger Ratsmusik has become aleading ensemble for early music and was awarded the renown ”Echo Klassik“ in 2006 and2010.
